BNPG Sponsors Blogging Workshop

August 12, 2006

The BNPG is currently sponsoring a series of blogging workshops that are intended to introduce its members and the community to a new and exciting way of sharing news and information. With a great deal of excitement and anticipation BNPG members began learning about blogging as well as creating there own blog during the workshop. Because many of our members are active television producers this new tool will prove to be invaluable as they share news and information, as well as their creative works with a much broader and diverse audience. As the media landscape continues to change and evolve it is the BNPG’s goal to keep its members and the community abreast and involved in these changes as they happen. Our organizing efforts revolve around empowerment---empowering individuals and whole communities through education and active participation in public access television, and through other forms of communications media. To learn more about the BNPG or on how to become a member visit our website at: www.bnpg.org, or by emailing us as: bnpg@bnpg.org.

For all BNPG members who participate in any of our blogging workshops, please post any questions or problems about your blog by leaving a comment on the BNPG blog and we will respond.

Thanks to everyone for a great workshop yesterday. I look forward to reading your blogs.

How do you delete a comment after you've read it?

Hiram

I think you can delete the comment by signing into Blogger, go in the Posting section in the "Moderate comments" section and then reject the comment. Or if you're logged in you can click the little trash can icon under the comment.

Hiram, you should leave all the comments on your blog. This way, other people can read all of the comments and join the conversation.

Even if you have to scroll down the page to read the comments, it allows other people to participate.

Thanks!

I'm glad Petra to see you are using your blog. As Colin mentioned you want to go to the BNPG blog and post your comments. This is the only way we will all be able to view each others questions and the answers that are provided. The BNPG blog address is: bnpg.blogspot.com

Hiram

Does anyone know what Victor's blog address is? I clicked on the link to his blog on the bnpg.blogspot.com home page but his page was not found.

Hirm

I just visited everyone's blog who had set up one during the workshop but noticed that none of your blogs have a link to the bnpg.blogspot.com page.

If you are having a problem doing this or don't remember how please let the support team (Colin and Danielle)know by posting your question or problem on the bnpg.blogspot.com page. Click
"comments" and leave a message.

Check out the BNPG flickr page and see pictures from the blog workshop. For those of you who don't know what this is, it's a page provided by Yahoo! where you can post pictures. To learn more about it go Google and type in fickr.

Colin, how do I add a link on the bnpg blog page so that visitors to the page can link to the bnpg flickr account?

Thanks,
Hiram

Thanks for your comments, Linda. I think another blogging workshop would be a great idea.

Learning new technologies on the Internet can be a frustrating in the beginning. But I am glad to hear that you've spent some time trying to figure a few things out.

Let's try to meet again in September, if possible? We can help to answer questions that you and other BNPG members have with their blogs.

And we can start videoblogging!
